your responsibilities
- Administer and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security
- Configure and manage database clusters, including multi-node cluster configurations
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity management to ensure databases operate efficiently
- Implement, manage and perform testing of backup and recovery solutions for PostgreSQL databases.
- Utilize automation and configuration management tools to streamline database operations and improve reliability
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Collaborate with other teams to define and implement improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures
- Manage PostgreSQL database user access, roles, and permissions in line with least-privilege and data protection requirements
- Plan and execute PostgreSQL
what we’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of database technologies (PostgreSQL)
- Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security best practices
- Experience with database migration and integration processes
- Experience with DB replication, Disaster Recovery and Database load testing
Bonus points for:
- Experience with cloud-based databases administration (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, SQL, etc.) for automation
- Git experience
